I am 64 years old, single, and a PhD educator. I have been described as a big bear. I hope they mean teddy bear. I took this picture of myself in the mirror. It is very honest, right down to the grey T-shirts I love to wear.

I live in Eugene, Oregon, and work with international students here at the University of Oregon. (If you don't know where Oregon is, we are just above California in the US.)

I don't have any family. I was raised in an orphanage. Maybe that is why I am still single -- I don't know any other way! Maybe it's time someone taught me?

I have traveled a lot in my work, and appreciate many things about many countries. I have learned a lot, and taught a lot, and I am not going to stop doing any of it anytime soon!
